Divine and human.

As the Seed of David and the Son of God, we see both His divinity and His humanity.  He was the Son of God in Eternity Past, but then He became a man. In the incarnation, He took upon Himself flesh and blood that He might be like us. In order to lead us into Glory, He had to become like us and take on Human nature As such He was the  Seed of the Woman, the Seed of Abraham and the Seed of David, the One that God Promised.

"For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings."
Heb 2:10

Through resurrection, this man is “declared to be the Son of God with Power.” If He was already the Son of God, why now does He need to be “declared” to be the Son of God? Paul is speaking here not of His divinity, but about His humanity.  His humanity was uplifted and glorified to share the status that He had in His divinity in Eternity past. It is His Humanity that has been “declared to be the Son of God.”

The scripture says that the Word became Flesh

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
John 1:14

This was the One who was from Eternity past who stepped into time and space, took on flesh, was born of a virgin and lived among us as the Son of Man.  He is the God Man.  It was His Humanity that died and resurrected.  Then, He was raised from the dead in His humanity.  His humanity was glorified (or as the Greek Orthodox would say “divinized” or “deified”), and He was raised up as a glorified Man.  That Man now has all authority in Heaven and on Earth.  He holds this authority as a man, and as the representative and Head of a New, Re-created Human race that is destined to share this authority.

"And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth."
Rev 5:10

As the exalted Son of Man, Christ’s authority is not just on Earth but in Heaven.  The Dominion of the Seed of David extends beyond our imagination.  We know that Adam was given dominion over the Earth, over the fish of the sea, and all living creatures, but this Man, the Last Adam, has dominion in Heaven and on Earth.  He has been seated “far above all principality and power” at the right hand of God, so that Angels worship Him.

"Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come."
Eph 1:21

"Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."
Heb 1:3

"And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him."
Heb 1:6
