God alone is Righteousness, holiness, love and light.
It’s all embodied in Him and when He is expressed, that is glorious! Man was created to be a container for that glory. He was created in the image of God to express Him.
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Gen 1:26-27
The Gospel restores this to us by bringing us the Spirit. When the Spirit comes to reside in us, He is the God of glory Himself!
2 Corinthians, for example, has a lot to say about the glory of God being wrought into us:
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" 2 Cor 4:17
Us being vessels to contain and express that Glory:
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." 2 Cor 4:7
The Gospel brings us back to this. We fell short of the glory of God. We were not containers of the glory of God because we lived apart from God. We lived independently of God because there was a great chasm between man and God due to sin.
