The New Age Movement’s Intention to Infiltrate the Church
In more recent times, we can see in the writings of occultists that their plan has been to eventually openly reveal the “hidden truth” of the mysteries, their true Luciferic nature, to the world – initiating the whole world into them.
The “New Age” was a term coined by Helena Blavatsky, founder of the theosophical movement. She produced 1400 pages of writing allegedly channeled by an “ascended master”. Channeling books is also known as “automatic writing” where the writer enters an altered state of consciousness, or a trance, and a spirit flows through them dictating the words. These spirits doing the speaking are demons. They claimed to be those who had been “initiated” into the mysteries, having “ascended”, meaning that they had realized their oneness with God and no longer were limited to the limitations of physical form. Blavatsky claimed that it was revealed to her in that so called ascended masters from preflood days who once taught mankind and led man in technological and spiritual development, were waiting in the wings to be once again openly as received as humanity’s teachers and guides. Mankind needed first to be conditioned to embrace them. She referred to the knowledge they guard as “The Secret Knowledge”, the “Sacred Science” and the “Esoteric Wisdom.” They promised nothing less than a spiritual utopia, an “new age” of enlightenment, in which mankind would evolve to become a unified race, reaching their spiritual, “Divine” potential. This is nothing new. It is what occultists since the days of Nimrod have believed and been promised through interaction with these beings that we know are the fallen angels. This knowledge they are waiting to reveal is the heart of the Babylonian Mystery, which is the same lie that was with us from the beginning when Lucifer promised the same thing to Adam and Eve in the garden.
One of Blavatski’s proteges, Alice Bailey, also channeled many books. In the books she wrote, demons/fallen angels again claimed to be the secret teachers of civilization, desiring to reveal themselves to mankind and lead man into a new Luciferic age of enlightenment. Alice Bailey was extremely influential. She started a publishing company to disseminate her books, which was originally called Lucifer publishing company. It was later named Lucis Trust. This is actually the official publishing arm of the United Nations. You can find the story about this name change on the United Nations website. Not many people know that the United Nations is at its core a spiritual organization. It’s headquarters, incidentally, is deliberately constructed to look like the unfinished tower of babel.
Alice Baily wrote a book called “Externalization of the Heirarchy”, which details the plan to release of the hidden esoteric teachings of the mystery religions in their raw power, to all of mankind. This was to be a prelude to the teachers of old (the fallen angels and their initiates) re-emerging on the world scene and openly guiding human affairs again. Again, this is what the occultists since Nimrod have dreamed of. However, for this to happen, mankind must first be conditioned to it. Amazingly, the “Externalization of the heirarchy” outlines the intention to use the Church as the vehicle to do this!
Externalization of the Heirarchy details much of this plan – written about 75 years ago, that is coming to pass quickly right before our very eyes.

“The Christian church in its many branches can serve as a St. John the Baptist, as a voice crying in the wilderness, and as a nucleus through which world illumination may be accomplished… Its work is intended to be the holding of a broad platform. The church must show a wide tolerance, and teach no revolutionary doctrines or cling to any reactionary ideas. The church as a teaching factor should take the great basic doctrines and (shattering the old forms in which they are expressed and held) show their true and inner spiritual significance. The prime work of the church is to teach, and teach ceaselessly, preserving the outer appearance in order to reach the many who are accustomed to church usages. Teachers must be trained; Bible knowledge must be spread; the sacraments must be mystically interpreted, and the power of the church to heal must be demonstrated.
…There is no question therefore that the work to be done in familiarizing the public with the nature of the Mysteries is of paramount importance at this time. These Mysteries will be restored to outer expression through the medium of the Church and the Masonic Fraternity, if those groups leave off being organizations with material purpose, and become organisms with living objectives.”
Note these phrases:
“take the great basic doctrines and (shattering the old forms in which they are expressed and held) show their true and inner spiritual significance. “
preserving the outer appearance in order to reach the many who are accustomed to church usages.
These Mysteries will be restored to outer expression”
The old forms she speaks of are the orthodox understanding of the plain meaning of scriptures. The shattering of those forms to reveal their “inner spiritual significance” is to bring the esoteric mystery religious meanings into Christianity and to reinterpret the bible in their light. This has been done before. When the Jews wer in captivity in Babylon, they developed what is known as kabbalah (which was a study of the bible in the light of the Babylonian mysteries), assigning new meanings.
To preserve the outer appearance for those “accustomed to the church usage” means to deceptively use the language of the Bible while actually teaching occultic or esoteric principles. When she says that through the Church and the Masonic fraternity the mysteries will be restored to “outer expression” she means- the open use of demonically inspired techniques, to demonstrate powers ascribed to Nimrod and the gibborim of the pre-flood days. All of this will be done in the name of Christ, with biblical sounding terminology.
Alice Bailey also talked about a coming “cosmic” Christ. In her version, the re-appearance of the Christ was not a literal coming of Jesus to set his feet upon the Mount of Olives. The coming of Christ would be the awakening of mankind to the “Christ consciousness,” producing a collective Christ indwelled by the Spirit of Christ. This is very close to the biblical teaching of the Body of Christ, but in the new age view it is different. It does not consist of the members of the Body of Christ who have been regenerated by believing the genuine scriptural gospel. Instead, consists of those who lay aside old doctrines and are willing to embrace the new paradigm in which we all realize that we are one, and that all is God. This “collective Christ” comes to a mystical and gnostic enlightenment; a realization of their collective Divinity. The only real sin in this view is the failure to realize this. Their Jesus is not the biblical Jesus, but one of many “ascended masters”, who was initiated into the mysteries. They believe he eventually became part of the Christ but not the only Christ (they also believe Buddha and Krishna and others were part of the “collective Christ”.) Remember, Christ just means “anointed.” Lucifer held the position as the “anointed cherub that covereth.” When the occultists speak of their Christ, they mean Lucifer Himself, and his seed. They even want to make Jesus subject to him by insisting that Jesus was one of the initiates.
They also believe that there is a coming “world teacher” which will lead us into this New Age,and the bible likely identifies this person as the false prophet. According to Revelation 13, the false prophet will have the two horns of the lamb, representing the appearance of Christianity, but will speak with the mouth of the Dragon, meaning that the content of his speech will be this so called hidden wisdom. Again, before this can happen they believe that mankind has to be conditioned to accept the mysteries, and in the west, this will be done through the church.
Quote From Alice Bailey’s The Reappearance of the Christ, Page 122: “It is these mysteries which Christ will restore upon His reappearance, thus reviving the churches in a new form, and restoring the hidden Mystery”.
Quote: “Another unique factor which will distinguish His coming will be not only the general expectancy but also the fact that much is today known and taught about the Kingdom of God, or the Spiritual Hierarchy of the planet. Everywhere, in all countries, there are thousands who are interested in the fact of that Hierarchy, who believe in the Masters of the Wisdom, the disciples of the Christ, and who will not be surprised when this group of Sons of God, surrounding their great Leader, the Christ, makes its appearance on Earth. “
Here she uses the language of the kingdom of God, and the sons of God, and Christ, but is actually speaking of the coming of the Antichrist and his system. When she talks about the “hidden mystery” she does not mean the New Testament mystery of Redemption revealed in Jesus Christ. She means the wisdom that The Serpent promised to Eve in the Garden of Eden that would make her become like God. This is being offered again to humanity, and the conditioning for this to happen is to be done by the church as an “advanced guard” or a “forerunner” much like Elijah and John the Baptist.
Right now, many of the leaders of the movements I mentioned (Emergent, Purpose Driven and N.A.R.) appear to be agents for this purpose. They are borrowing the biblical doctrines such as the glorification of the Church as the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God but applying them to new esoteric meanings that are occult.
The New Apostolic Reformation especially speaks this language. They speak of themselves as Joel’s Army, the Forerunners, the Elijah Generation, and speak of being “manifested as the Sons of God”. As we’ve already seen, they believe that there will come a time when through inner knowledge, revelation, they will come to truly realize their “position in Christ” and be “manifested” in reality as they “truly are”. This sounds very biblical, but we can see its source. Much of what is happening in the realm of the supernatural in the NAR is related to this, and with it there is a REDEFINING of the teachings concerning the Body of Christ, the kingdom, and Christ’s coming to bring them into alignment with the New Age view of these things. Their versions of the teachings are Antichrist. As we’ve said previously, anti-Christ doesn’t just mean ‘against” Christ. It means IN PLACE of Christ. The Antichrist teachings are coming in as Christian sounding doctrines regarding His coming, the Church’s glorification, the manifestation of the Sons of God and the Kingdom.
Even though they use biblical sounding terminology, we can discern the doctrine of the New Apostolic Reformation as Antichrist because they take roles that scripture reveals belong exclusively to Christ in His literal Physical and assign them to the “CHURCH.” So it is the CHURCH that brings the tribulation, its the CHURCH that establishes the Kingdom, its the CHURCH that purges the earth of lawlessness and wickedness, its the CHURCH that judges the apostates and the nations.
Regarding the coming of Christ, they spiritualize it; the coming of Christ is first TO the church to manifest Himself in the Church and bring them into the realization and spiritual reality of being “sons of God” exercising the kingdom authority on earth in His place. They say this has to happen before He comes, but the Bible clearly teaches that all of this is by His doing, at His literal coming. So the NAR especially by twisting these teachings are playing right into the hands of the plans for the externalization of the Hierarchy. The way Satan works is to take the things that God wants and has promised to undertake Himself, and to get man to cooperate with him (Satan) in such a way as to attempt to bring it about a counterfeit. In the man made counterfeit, Satan eventually becomes the king.
Many of the leaders of the three movements demonstrate that their doctrines are in line with the new age “esoteric” teaching. They are deliberate participants in the plan, and that they are deliberately steering millions of Christians into a final apostasy that the Bible predicted, while convincing the church that it is actually a revival.
Talking about the plan, Christian apologist Ray Yungen says:
“instead of opposing Christianity, the occult would capture and blend itself with Christianity and then use it as its primary vehicle for spreading and instilling New Age consciousness! The various churches would still have their outer trappings of Christianity and still use much of the same lingo. If asked certain questions about traditional Christian doctrine, the same answers would be given. But it would all be on the outside; on the inside a contemplative spirituality would be drawing in those open to it.
“In wide segments of Christendom this has indeed already occurred…. People are responding to this in large numbers because it has the external appearance of Christianity but in truth, is the diametric opposite. What a skillful spiritual delusion!”
