From Genesis to Revelation, there’s a singular set of themes spanning all the scriptures, with consistent language, metaphors, comparisons, allegories, and word usage.Genesis, with all its different types, essentially defines the Bible’s vocabulary for its major themes. God’s design in spreading major doctrines and themes throughout various parts of Scripture encourages a comprehensive understanding of His Word. As diligent students, we need to explore the entirety of God’s counsel and “connect the dots” between different passages and themes. This kind of study assumes a unity in the scriptures held together by supernatural design.

In this pass through Genesis, we have taken these principles for granted and have determined to see Christ represented on every page. This time we discovered a singular and thoroughly neglected point to the narrative in Genesis – Christ as our Rest! My intention is to help believers see the “smiling face” of God in these chapters.
