What is the righteousness of the law?

Learn about the righteousness of the law and its purpose in exposing sin and leading humans to faith in Christ. While the law is holy and good, it cannot correct the problem of sin, only point us to the reality of righteousness found in Christ. The Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7 is actually the law of Moses, focused on the 9th commandment, “thou shalt not covet.” Christ is the righteousness that exceeds that of the Pharisees and Saducees, and through His redemptive work, we are justified and made heirs of the kingdom. The Law serves as a magnifying glass for sin, but ultimately, God’s desire is for us to turn to faith in Christ.

The Life of Christ By the Spirit vs. Progressive Sanctification

The blood of Jesus sanctified the altar. He is the real offering, and He is the real altar. He sanctified us with His blood and presented us to God in Himself. In Christ, we are on the real altar. We are those who are presenting ourselves (in Him) as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable (which is our reasonable service of worship) (Rom 12:1-4). We are holy because of our union with Christ and our contact with the altar.

Holiness in the Christian Life – a Matter for the Physician, not the Law Giver

If you want to talk about holiness in the Christian life, please see it not as a matter of a servant learning to be a “better person” so he can get a “Reward” and make his “boss happier.”That’s not what this is. This is a sick person being nursed back to life very gently by

THREE KINDS OF ACCURSED GOSPELS (Frontload, Backload, Galatian Error)

People who fully embrace frontloaded works, backloaded works, or Galatian error will accuse you of a license to sin when you speak about Christ being the reality of the Christian life. In place of Jesus Christ, they hear the words “sin, adultery, fornication, murder, theft.”  (What are you saying I  can just lie and steal and do whatever I want?)  This is from Satan, the Moralist, and it is his accusation against God Himself. He does not believe that God is JUST in justifying sinners and giving the inheritance as a gift to the ungodly. It infuriates him. The Pharisees didn’t just “not believe in Jesus.” They HATED Him because He was the friend of sinners. They knew who He was! Satan was their father.

Galatians Msg 1

Msg 1 Obeying Truth Rather than Following Men Gal 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) Here Paul is already distinguishing himself from the people that are influencing the churches in Galatia. The people that are influencing them are much about perception and man’s authority and man’s stamp of approval. “He’s associated with James therefore I should
