- According to Romans 1:16-17, the Gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, ‘The righteous shall live by faith.’
- Romans 3:21-24 tells us that the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, and is received through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. We are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
- God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, to condemn sin in the flesh, so that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk according to the Spirit (Romans 8:3-4).
- According to Romans 3:28, we are justified by faith apart from works of the law. Furthermore, Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes (Romans 10:4). .
- As Philippians 3:9 tells us, we are not to have a righteousness of our own that comes from the law, but rather the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith.
