Transcriptions from the Romans series on Chapter 5. “Salvation in Life”.
This chapter is a turn in Romans from what some people call “judicial redemption” to “organic salvation”. Judicial redemption means qualification in the court of heaven — satisfying the claims of righteousness. God did this for us. Through faith, we have been justified. We’ve been justified and justification is a legal qualification for us to receive what some refer to as “organic salvation” or, “salvation in life”. This refers to the life you receive when you are regenerated with the life of God and the person of Christ (in the person of the Holy Spirit) comes to dwell in you.
The phrase, “salvation in life” comes from Romans 5:10, “For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” Resurrection life came to us, regenerated in us, and is now working in us to do many things — ultimately conforming us to the image of Christ and glorifying us. This life we’ve received is actually Christ Himself!
