The phrase, “salvation in life” comes from Romans 5:10, “For
if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the
death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be
saved by His life.” Resurrection life came to us, regenerated in us,
and is now working in us to do many things — ultimately
conforming us to the image of Christ and glorifying us. This life
we’ve received has a whole set of principles of operation and this
life is Christ Himself!
Unfortunately, there’s so little teaching in Christianity about
this — it’s almost a hidden topic. It is a hidden topic because it’s
the mystery of “Christ in you” (Col 1:27) and the natural man
cannot receive the things of the Spirit (1 Cor 2:14) — man cannot
know these things relating to this mystery of Christ. Essentially, it
is hidden because the enemy has blinded people’s minds, but also
because there’s very little teaching about it. We need to see that
there is a salvation in life. We’ve not just been forgiven…it’s not
just judicial redemption, we’ve not only been qualified. We’ve
actually been brought into something and something’s been brought
into us. Something changed on the inside of me. I was born of God
and my spirit was regenerated with the life of Christ. I am being
saved in His life. I was an enemy and now He’s reconciled me to
Himself. How much more shall I be saved in His life…even more!
Abundant grace — grace is not just coming to you to forgive your
sins, but grace is also coming to bring you the life of Christ. Joh
1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for
grace. Grace is a person. Christ is grace! He has forgiven our sins,
and now He’s come in, regenerating us and dwelling in us.
